Oscar Piastri won an action-packed Formula 1 race full of wheel-to-wheel battles Sunday, extending his championship lead over fellow McLaren driver Lando Norris, who finished in second place.

The win marks Piastri's fourth of the season after he picked up wins at the Heineken Chinese Grand Prix in March and the Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix and SRC Saudi Arabian Grand Prix in April. The 24-year-old Australian has now doubled his win total from a year ago.

McLaren's Oscar Piastri won the event, edging teammate and 2024 winner Lando Norris in the 2025 F1 event from South Florida. This year's event featured fine dining experiences, celebrity sightings, plenty of storylines and the announcement of a 10-year extension for the annual race.
