Heavy rainfall, strong winds, and localized flooding are concerns for eastern Mexico, particularly with the expectation of up to 45 mph winds at landfall.

Barry is the second named storm of the 2025 Atlantic hurricane season, following Andrea, which built to a tropical storm before fizzling out in the Atlantic Ocean.

Satellite images show that the storm should weaken as it nears the coast sometime overnight Sunday or early Monday. Even though the storm will weaken as it approaches land, it will still bring tropical storm conditions near the coast throughout Monday.
