In addition to the ESP32 development board, the jukebox also received a number of WS2812B addressable RGB LEDs, and a DFPlayer module to handle music playback.

I added the ESP32 as a New Device, entered the SSID and Password for my home network, and saved the Encryption Key to my Vaultwarden container, in case I need it later.

The HDMI switch is equipped with an infrared sensor as the only means of controlling it, so naturally, that was the path chosen for interfacing the ESP32 put inside the switch.
