Google’s latest Code Scanner API in GMS can auto-zoom and read QR codes from a distance using machine learning. It lets developers embed the feature into apps.

As announced in May, Google has given its default QR code scanner on Android an appreciable redesign via Play services.

Now, the built-in QR code scanner will also be able to automatically zoom in on a far-out QR code to get a better view.
