Once you know what macros you'd like to set up and have the Developer tab ready, here's what to do in Excel on Windows or macOS: Click the Developer tab and find the Code group.
Before creating a macro, activate the Developer tab in Microsoft Excel. This works on PC and Mac, but the steps to activate the Developer tab differ slightly from one operating system to the other.
First, enable the Developer tab, then create a Macro. After that, save it as an Excel Macro-Enabled Workbook for Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet and a Word Macro-Enabled Document for Microsoft Word.
