Once you have installed Python and VS Code IDE, all you need to do is create a Python file. To do that, open Visual Studio Code, go to File > New File, search for Python file, and click on it.

Now that we have installed both the IDE and the language, let us go ahead and configure it on your computer. But before we do that, we need to install the Python Extension in VS Code.

Select “Add to PATH” for easier command-line access (optional) Click “Install” to begin the installation. Once the installation is complete, click “Finish” to launch VS Code.
