The University of Sydney has chosen Azul as the institution's sole Java provider, making the move from Oracle. The University was founded in 1850 and serves around 75,000 students and 3,500 faculty.

In Azul’s previous survey, 72% of Oracle Java users were already considering a switch to another JDK provider. That has surged to 88% in the latest Azul survey.

I made the same switch last year and it only took a month from "Switch this application from JDK 1.4 and JSF to C# 4.0 and ASP.NET MVC3" to "Release Candidate testing".
