That’s why I’ve been taking advantage of a little-known app called Libby, a wonderful free app that links to your library card and lets you check out eBooks for free on your smartphone or tablet.

Libby works with about 90% of the libraries around the U.S., and it has both books and audiobooks. Plus, it works just like a library does, only virtually.

Both available via Overdrive’s Libby app, which is a free service offered by Pioneerland Library System that lets patrons borrow digital content with their library card.

Libby offers free access to ebooks and audiobooks if you have a supported library card (some 90 percent of public libraries in North America now use OverDrive's app).

In fact, over 90% of public libraries in North America use Libby and Libby can be found in 78 countries worldwide. Connect with your local library to find out library card requirements.
