Newark, New Jersey Mayor Ras Baraka has filed a lawsuit against acting U.S. Attorney Alina Habba for his arrest at an ICE facility in his city. Democratic Newark Mayor Ras Baraka filed a lawsuit Tuesday against Interim U.S. Attorney Alina Habba and a Department of Homeland Security agent over his arrest and dropped charges, after Baraka and other lawmakers were accused of storming a New Jersey DHS facility last month.

Habba was not serving in a prosecutorial function when she acted with DHS agents in the scheme to arrest Mayor Baraka,” his suit says.
