Rute Cardoso was emotional while helping pallbearers Saturday, appearing to cry and lowering her head while they carried the ex-Liverpool standout’s coffin after the mass for Jota and his younger brother, Andre Silva, who also perished in the wreck that occurred just after midnight Thursday in Spain.

One photo showed Cardoso, who married Jota just 11 days before he died in a fiery crash with his brother, leaning on the arm of Roben Neves, a football player for Alhilal Saudi Club and the Portugul National Team, as he helped carry Jota's coffin.
