The Toronto Maple Leafs took Game 1 of their second-round series against the Florida Panthers. Although it was a high-scoring affair that ended in a 5-4 win for the Leafs, most of the talk between Game 1 and Game 2 has centered on Sam Bennett’s elbow to the head of Toronto goalie Anthony Stolarz.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have yet to determine Anthony Stolarz's status for Game 2 of their second-round playoff series against the Florida Panthers after the No. 1 goaltender was knocked out of Game 1 with an apparent head injury.

During Game 2 of the 2023 second round, Bennett and Maple Leafs forward Matthew Knies got tangled up before Bennett slammed the Toronto rookie to the ice, causing a concussion. Knies finished the period but would not play in the remainder of the best-of-7 series, which the Panthers won in five games.
