VJ Edgecombe could become the first Philadelphia 76ers player to wear No. 77. The Sixers shared a video on Thursday of the No. 3 pick of the 2025 NBA draft signing a photograph with his new number. No previous players have worn No. 77 for the Sixers franchise, according to Basketball Reference.

Edgecombe averaged 15.0 points, 5.6 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 2.1 steals playing for the Bears in the 2024-25 season. He will now look to bring his all-around game to the city of Philadelphia and help the Sixers bounce back from a tough season.
