The NCAA's NBA withdrawal deadline came and went Wednesday night, but not without some drama. In the final days and hours, numerous teams waited with bated breath as several major college stars debated -- and in some cases delayed -- their professional pursuits.

Labaron Philon is a young player that burst onto the scene during his freshman season. Going pro didn't work out for him this year, but he has plenty of time to develop into an elite NBA Draft prospect during another season at Alabama. His sophomore season should be a special one.

Alabama basketball will be retaining one its key starters as they look to make another deep run in the NCAA Tournament next season. On Wednesday, Labaron Philon announced via Instagram that he would be returning to the Capstone for his sophomore season.
