Dasanglu, the third wife of former Chief Minister Kalikho Pul, won the bye-election held on November 19 last defeating her lone rival Yompi Kri, an Independent candidate, by a margin of 942 votes.
Pul’s first wife, Dangwimsai, was also seeking the ticket. But the family resolved their differences and agreed on Dasanglu’s name to further the late CM’s legacy.
