The San Jose Sharks concluded the 2025 NHL Draft making nine selections overall, including seven today, following the selections of in the First Round with the second overall and 30th overall selections,

LOS ANGELES — The San Jose Sharks began the second day of the NHL Draft by taking defenseman Haoxi (Simon) Wang with the 33rd overall pick at the start of the second round. Wang was born in Beijing in 2007 and with the pick, became the highest-drafted Chinese-born player in NHL history.

It’s a departure from the 2020 draft, in which only two of the nine players the Sharks drafted were taller than 5-foot-11 — 6-foot-4 forward Brandon Coe in the fourth round and 6-foot winger Timofey Spitserov in the seventh round,
