More than 120 people have lost their lives across Pakistan’s Punjab province over the past six weeks due to intense monsoon rains and flash floods that have inundated both rural and urban regions

Pakistan declared a public holiday in Karachi on Wednesday as the financial capital braced for more rain, after the arrival of the annual monsoon season left at least 7 people dead and caused widespread flooding,

The Flood Forecasting Division reported that Tarbela Dam has reached 99 percent of its capacity at 1,549.20 feet, while Mangla Dam is 76 percent full at 1,219.40 feet. Levels at Rawal, Khanpur, and Simly dams have also risen significantly, prompting authorities to open spillways at some reservoirs to ease pressure.
