Southgate police say they have safely taken the suspect in the shootings of two officers into custody. The officers were both shot in leg and are expected to recover.

SOUTHGATE, Mich. – Two police officers are recovering after being shot by a man at a Southgate apartment complex on Thursday. The incident unfolded on June 19 at an apartment complex in the 13000 block of Village Park Drive after officers received a report of a man waving a gun in the complex.
