Mission Impossible - The Final Reckoning' is likewise set to shatter records over what could be the biggest Memorial Day weekend of all time.

Their live action take of 2002 toon classic Lilo & Stitch is grabbing around $14M in previews that started at 2PM, which is possibly a Disney record as far as previews go over Memorial Day weekend. Lilo & Stitch would need to unseat 2018’s Solo: A Star

This weekend, Disney’s “Lilo & Stitch” returns to theaters in live-action/CGI form and is expected to lead the Memorial Day box office to a potential new record. But its release alongside Paramount’s “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning” also makes it a box office rematch 23 years in the making: Stitch vs. Tom Cruise.

Tom Cruise’s Mission Impossible 8 earned around Rs 55 crore in its first week in India. Despite a sharp drop after the opening weekend, the film remains steady as it heads into its second weekend.

The “Mission Impossible” series is set to save the world (and the box office) once again with “Final Reckoning” leading a hot summer movie season of drama, action and comedy that’s expected to bring in the biggest theater ticket sales since 2019.
