The Dow Jones Industrial Average was poised for back-to-back gains as of Wednesday's final hour of trading, while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite moved back toward record highs, amid rising chances of 2025 interest-rate cuts.

PM Eastern Time, the S&P 500 slipped 0.2%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.2%, and the Nasdaq Composite was down 0.3%.

Among the Nasdaq-100 stocks, Intel INTC and Lululemon Athletica LULU were early winners on the stock market today. Intel stock moved up 3.4%, set to extend a win streak to six sessions. Lululemon shares climbed almost 2% in early morning action.

U.S. indexes were losing steam in early trading on Friday. After touching its first intraday record high of 2025 after the opening bell, the Dow Jones Industrial Average has pared its gains somewhat.
