Transgender runner Evelyn “Evie” Parts has filed a federal lawsuit against Swarthmore College and the NCAA, alleging that the college illegally eliminated her from the women’s track team because she is transgender.

Long-distance runner Evie Parts has sued the NCAA and Swarthmore College, as well as members of its athletic department, claiming she was illegally removed from the track team because she is a transgender athlete,

The lawsuit filed last week names Evie Parts, a 2025 Swarthmore graduate and former member of the women’s cross-country and track teams, as the plaintiff. It is the third lawsuit to be filed
