The trends on Gift Nifty also indicate a positive start for the Indian benchmark index. The Gift Nifty was trading around 24,843 level, a premium of nearly 80 points from the Nifty futures’ previous close.

Nifty futures on the NSE International Exchange traded 73.50 points, or 0.29 per cent, higher at 24,835, hinting at a positive start for the domestic market on Thursday.

Gift Nifty has indicated a weak start of stock market on Tuesday. A muted start of Nifty and Sensex is expected after the benchmark indices registered a volatile session of the week.
