An explosion that rocked downtown Palm Springs Saturday morning was an “intentional act of terrorism” that has left one person dead and at least four people injured, Akil Davis, assistant director of the Los Angeles FBI field office, said Saturday evening.

An explosion, possibly originating in a vehicle outside a fertility clinic, hit Palm Springs Saturday, apparently killing one person.

FBI Los Angeles said in a social media post on X that “assets being deployed include investigators, bomb technicians & an evidence response team.”
