Erin, the fifth tropical storm of the 2019 Atlantic hurricane season, has weakened to a tropical depression and is moving north-northwestward, the National Hurricane Center (NHC) said on Wednesday.

Tropical Storm Erin caused few problems for oil and gas companies operating in the Gulf of Mexico, the companies and the U.S. Minerals Management Service said on Thursday.
